VALLEYLIFE is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to men, women, and children with developmental disabilities.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Worker who will perform general maintenance and repair for campus facilities and all VALLEYLIFE owned and leased residential properties in the Phoenix area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following;

• Perform periodic inspections of VALLEYLIFE properties to identify potential safety hazards and preventative maintenance projects
• Perform general maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural components at VALLEYLIFE properties.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Adapt settings to accommodate the special need of our clients. This may include building ramps, widening doors and installing rails, gates, corner moldings, and shower adapters, etc.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and submit invoices and receipts in a timely manner, as per accounting guidelines.
• Light pool cleaning and chemical maintenance/monitoring.

Qualified candidate will be able to;

• Successfully complete a background investigation and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance card
• Lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds; carry materials, bend, twist, kneel , climb, and balance
• Walk at a brisk pace and work in a kneeling position for extended periods of time
• Work outdoors in the rain or in extreme hot or cold weather
• Work in small areas such as crawl spaces and attics
• Withstand dust, pollens and gas fumes on a daily basis
• Work independently
• Monday - Friday and on-call rotation for after hours, weekends & holidays

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with HVAC equipment
• Minimum of three years experience working in maintenance and/or landscaping trade
• Computer literate
• Arizona Driver's license
• Must have own tools
