Landscaper Job Description

• $21 per hour
• $200 temporary bi-weekly incentive

• Perform grounds-keeping duties.
• Cut lawn using hand mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Install new sprinkler systems as needed, including new landscaping as needed.
• Maintain and repair sprinkler systems and timers to ensure proper working condition.
• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
• Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others.
• Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
• Maintain walkways free of debris (sweeping or blowing)
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
• Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and lawn furniture.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three years experience working in maintenance and/or landscaping trade
• Computer literate
• Arizona Drivers License
• Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Card issued by DPS. VALLEYLIFE will assist in obtaining.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Ability to change start times to as early as 5:30AM, depending on the season.
